Two Cars Collide on Fountain Avenue in Hollywood Killing One Passenger
HOLLYWOOD, CA (October 11, 2024) – An elderly woman was killed in a two-car accident at Fountain Avenue and Spalding Avenue in Hollywood Thursday afternoon on October 10.
According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, two SUVs collided in the 7600 block of West Fountain Avenue around 4:40 p.m. The impact sent one of the cars into an apartment building.
Three people were taken to hospitals, where one of them later died.
Authorities only described the deceased victim as a woman in her 70s. She was a passenger in the car.
The other two occupants, a man in his 70s and a man in his 30s, suffered unspecified injuries.
It is unknown at this time whether speed or alcohol played a factor in the crash. Further investigation is underway.
