DUI Driver Arrested in Police Vehicle Accident on Highway 101 in North Hollywood

 
NORTH HOLLYWOOD, CA (December 17, 2024) — A DUI driver crashed into a police car on Highway 101 near Tujunga Avenue.
 
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the two-vehicle accident happened early Sunday. Authorities began pursuing a driver on the 101 Freeway in North Hollywood. However, the suspect crashed into a police cruiser carrying a person who had just been arrested moments prior.
 
Following the collision, officers took the DUI suspect into custody at the scene. The two officers and the person under arrest were taken to a hospital after the crash.
 
Officers did not say what caused the chase and the factors that led to the accident.
