1 Dies in Big Rig Accident on 12 3/4 Avenue in Kings County
KINGS COUNTY, CA (April 26, 2024) — A driver died in a semi-truck accident on 12 3/4 Avenue and Douglas Avenue.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal semi-truck crash happened around 7:48 p.m. Wednesday. For an unknown reason, a driver in a Chevrolet Silverado pickup ran a posted stop sign while heading westbound. Subsequently, a southbound big rig collided with the Silverado.
Moments later, emergency personnel arrived and pronounced the Silverado driver, a man in his 60s, deceased at the scene. The semi-truck driver was unharmed in the crash and police did not suspect alcohol to have factored into the collision.
