1 Dies in DUI Head-On Collision on Highway 4 in Tracy

 
TRACY, CA (January 10, 2025) — A driver died in a head-on DUI accident on Highway 4 near Tracy Boulevard.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal 2-car accident happened around 12:30 a.m. Wednesday. For an unknown reason, a driver of a westbound Ford F-250 crossed over the double yellow lines. Subsequently, the Ford plowed into an eastbound Jeep SUV.
 
Tragically, the Jeep driver, the sole occupant of the vehicle, passed away in the accident. Reports did not publish his name or residence.
 
The Ford driver, who authorities say was under the influence of alcohol, suffered major injuries and received hospital care.
 
Due to the crash, officers closed Highway 4 to investigate.
