Driver Hospitalized in High-Speed Crash on Highway 12 in Santa Rosa

 
SANTA ROSA, CA (November 10, 2022) — A driver was injured in a high-speed accident on Highway 12 near Calistoga Road on Wednesday.
 
According to Santa Rosa police officers, the single-vehicle accident happened around 12:43 a.m. Investigators learned that a driver of an Infiniti was heading westbound on the highway at about 100 miles per hour.
 
The driver subsequently lost control of the sedan before hitting the center median and crashing into several trees. After bearing down the No. 1 and 2 westbound lanes and leaving the roadway, the vehicle came to a rest in a Safeway parking lot.
 
Upon responding, firefighters freed the victim from the wreckage and brought him to a hospital for treatment of head injuries. As of Wednesday afternoon, he remains in stable condition.
