Driver Injured in Crash with Box Truck on 15 Freeway near Bear Valley Road [Victorville, CA]

1 Hospitalized in Box Truck Accident on 15 Freeway in Victorville

 
VICTORVILLE, CA (November 15, 2024) — A driver was injured in a box truck crash on the 15 Freeway near Bear Valley Road.
 
The two-vehicle accident happened around 3:40 p.m. Tuesday. For an unknown reason, a driver of a gray Chevy Impala collided with a 30-foot box truck on the 15 South Freeway. Upon impact, the box truck crashed into a guardrail, trapping the Chevy driver inside the wreckage.
 
Subsequently, authorities and Victorville City Fire Department firefighters arrived to find the Chevy in a drainage ditch beneath the rear of the box truck. From there, firefighters performed extrication efforts to free the driver who suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
 
Due to the accident, the No. 3 lane was blocked as tow trucks arrived to assist with the crash.
 
At this time, the police have not specified the cause of the crash. However, those with information can call the California Highway Patrol Victorville station.
