1 Arrested for DUI After Colliding with Patrol Vehicle at Baseline Avenue in Fontana

 
FONTANA, CA (July 3, 2024) — A driver faces DUI charges after crashing into a police car at Baseline Avenue and Almeria Avenue.
 
The two-car crash occurred around 3:29 a.m. on June 28. Upon responding to a medical aid call, a Fontana Police deputy collided with a vehicle at the intersection. In response to this crash, the other driver tried to flee, but the driver was apprehended shortly after.
 
Police later arrested the individual for DUI.
 
Fortunately, neither the driver nor the officer required hospitalization.
