Man Arrested for DUI, Crashing Into Dump Truck on 15 Freeway in Hesperia

 
HESPERIA, CA (September 11, 2024) — A man was arrested in a DUI crash with a dump truck on the 15 Freeway near Main Street.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol incident logs, the two-vehicle crash happened around 12:06 a.m. on September 10. For DUI reasons, a male driver of a sedan crashed into a dump truck. Subsequently, he tried to jump over a fence onto Mariposa Avenue following the crash. However, officers were able to detain him and perform a sobriety test that proved DUI factored into the collision.
 
While he sustained lacerations to his head and face, the occupants of the dump truck were unharmed.
