62-Year-Old Woman Arrested after DUI Accident on Highway 89 near Highway 70 in Blairsden

BLAIRSDEN, CA (March 3, 2025) – Authorities arrested a driver following a DUI accident on Highway 89, Saturday afternoon.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened on March 1, at about 3:48 p.m. For reasons still under investigation, a driver made a left turn directly in front of another vehicle just south of Highway 70 near Little Bear Road.

Officers later arrested one of the driver, identified as a 62-year-old woman from Clio, CA, for driving under the influence. Her name was not released.

It is unknown if any injuries were sustained in the collision.

CHP continues to investigate the cause of the accident. Officers will release additional information once it becomes available.
