David Priest Killed in Motorcycle Crash on 8 Freeway near College Avenue
SAN DIEGO, CA (July 8, 2024) — David Priest died in a motorcycle accident on the 8 Freeway near College Avenue.
According to the San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office, Priest passed away at the scene of the motorcycle crash on June 28. For reasons that require further looking into, his black motorcycle collided with the rear of a Honda Pilot while he was lane splitting. The impact caused him to propel forward, off his motorcycle, and land within the freeway lanes.
Moments later, First Responders arrived but the 59-year-old San Diego man passed away from his severe injuries. The Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed he died from multiple blunt force injuries.
Traffic investigators have yet to identify the details. However, anyone who can help traffic investigators can call the California Highway Patrol.
