Pursuit of Stolen Vehicle in Winnetka Ends in Four-Vehicle Crash Killing 46-Year-Old Woman
WINNETKA, CA (November 25, 2024) – Cristina David was killed when a short pursuit of a stolen vehicle ended in a four-vehicle crash in Winnetka Saturday afternoon on November 23.
The fatal crash happened around 1:30 p.m. at 20500 West Saticoy Street and Mason Avenue. According to the Los Angeles Police Department, officers were pursuing the stolen vehicle when the suspect struck a westbound vehicle.
The impact caused the westbound vehicle to strike two more vehicles.
David, who was an occupant of the westbound vehicle, suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene. She was a 46-year-old West Hills resident, according to the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner.
Three other people were injured in the crash.
Police identified the driver of the suspect vehicle as 42-year-old Kevin Joseph Larrea. They arrested him Sunday and booked him for murder without bail.
Further investigation is underway.
