Two Cars Collide in Palm Desert Killing One Driver

 
PALM DESERT, CA (September 23, 2023) – Connie Ramirez died in a two-car accident in Palm Desert Tuesday afternoon on September 19.
 
The fatal accident happened 2:50 p.m. at the intersection of Hovley Lane and Washington Street. According to the Riverside County Fire Department, Ramirez was attempting to turn south into the parking lot when she was struck by another car that was heading eastbound.
 
The impact caused Ramirez fatal injuries and she died at the scene. She was a 72-year-old Palm Desert resident.
 
The driver of the other vehicle sustained minor injuries and was transported to a local hospital.
 
Alcohol or drug use does not seem to be a factor in the crash. The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department is handling the investigation.
