CHP Officer Suffers Injuries after Hit-and-Run Suspect Slams into His Patrol SUV on 91 Freeway in Anaheim

 
ANAHEIM, CA (September 4, 2024) – A CHP officer was injured in a hit-and-run crash on 91 Freeway in Anaheim Tuesday morning on September 3.
 
The crash happened around 8:15 a.m. near Euclid Street. According to the California Highway Patrol, the officer was conducting a traffic stop on the side of the freeway when a black pickup truck struck his patrol SUV.
 
After the crash, the driver of the pickup truck fled the scene.
 
The suspect continued driving until the pickup truck became disabled. He abandoned the vehicle not far from the crash scene.
 
Responding paramedics took the officer to a local hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries.
 
At this time, the hit-and-run suspect remains at large. Authorities described him as a Hispanic man about 5 feet 7 inches tall, wearing a white shirt and blue shorts.
