CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CA (January 16, 2023) — A child was seriously injured in a hit-and-run accident near Parker Avenue and Sixth Street Friday morning.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the hit-and-run happened around 6:50 a.m. For unknown reasons, a driver struck a child near Parker Avenue and Sixth Street in Rodeo. The driver, however, fled the scene in a dark-colored SUV, possibly a Jeep.
 
Authorities have no information on the suspect vehicle or the person operating it. If anyone knows the whereabouts of the driver, please call the Contra Costa CHP in Martinez at 925-646-4980.
