Car Slams into Ambulance Head-On at Chase Street in North Hills

 
NORTH HILLS, CA (February 6, 2023) — A car crashed into an ambulance head-on at Chase Street and Sepulveda Boulevard Friday morning.
 
According to Los Angeles police, the car crash happened around 2:30 a.m. Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics were reportedly treating an overdose patient at the back of an ambulance, parked near the intersection. Subsequently, a driver struck the parked ambulance head-on as the paramedics treated the overdose patient.
 
Soon after, another ambulance responded to the scene to transport the overdose patient and a third ambulance came soon thereafter to transport the driver who hit the ambulance to a hospital with minor injuries.
 
Authorities do not have information on the leading cause of the crash. However, an ongoing investigation should confirm more details.
