1 Hospitalized after Hit-and-Run Bicycle Accident on Wise Road in Placer County

 
PLACER COUNTY, CA (February 1, 2024) – A bicyclist sustained injuries in a hit-and-run collision on Wise Road, Tuesday afternoon.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened on January 30, at about 1:30 p.m. Due to unknown circumstances, a vehicle hit the bicyclist in the eastbound lane near southbound Crosby Herold Road.
 
The impact of the collision ejected the person from the bicycle.
 
Emergency crews transported the victim to a local hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries. As per recent updates, the victim is expected to survive.
 
Meanwhile, the driver of the vehicle failed to render aid and immediately left the area.
