Cyclist Dies in Capitol Expressway Crash in San Jose

 
SAN JOSE, CA (September 11, 2024) — A bicyclist hit by a car near Capitol Expressway and the 680 Freeway Tuesday morning passed away.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the deadly bicycle crash happened around 11:40 a.m. Under unclear circumstances, a driver struck the cyclist near the ramp to the northbound Interstate 680. Subsequently, the motorist stopped and waiting for authorites, and paramedics responded to the scene. However, the victim passed away at a nearby hospital.
 
At this time, officers have not confirmed the cause. However, if anyone has more to add to this deadly crash, call local authorities.
