UPPER LAKE, CA (April 7, 2022) — At least one person died in a fatal car accident on Highway 20 near Blue Lakes on Wednesday.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal incident happened around 3:13 p.m. Under unclear circumstances, two vehicles – described as a black Chevrolet Silverado and a black Acura – collided and blocked both lanes of the highway.
 
Soon after, paramedics responded and pronounced at least one fatality at the scene.
