STOCKTON, CA (October 22, 2024) — At least one person was injured in a multi-car accident on the 5 Freeway near March Lane.
 
The California Highway Patrol responded to the multi-vehicle crash around 7:46 a.m. Thursday. Upon arriving, authorities learned that up to four cars collided on the southbound 5 Freeway. As a result, at least one person reported a minor injury.
 
Traffic investigators did not specify the leading cause of the multi-car accident on the 5 Freeway, including if impairment or speeding played a role. However, they are investigating the details and identifying the ultimate cause. Any witnesses with information can call the CHP.
