SEAL BEACH, CA (April 20, 2022) — At least one person was injured in a multi-car accident on the 405 Freeway near Seal Beach Boulevard on Monday morning.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the multi-vehicle collision happened around 8:21 a.m. For unknown reasons, a driver struck a water barrel on the southbound freeway, crashing into the freeway’s center divider. Subsequently, two other vehicles became involved in the collision.
 
Due to the accident, authorities closed three lanes of the freeway and reopened them around 8:55 a.m.
 
At this time, the leading cause of the crash appears unclear. However, CHP officers will need witnesses’ help in identifying what had happened here.
