SAN MATEO, CA (November 1, 2024) — At least one person was injured in a 5-car accident on Highway 92 near San Mateo Bridge.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the 5-car crash happened on the eastbound side of the highway around 3:45 p.m. Tuesday. For an unknown reason, several cars crashed, blocking the left and center lanes. Subsequently, the Redwood City Office of the CHP responded and said at least one person complained of pain.
 
Just after 6:00 p.m., officers reopened the lanes. Investigators did not confirm the leading cause of the accident, but they are investigating further.
