Ashley Vega Killed in Pomona Pedestrian Crash on West Mission Boulevard

 
POMONA, CA (October 11, 2021) — A 29-year-old person identified as Ashley Vega died in a pedestrian accident on Wednesday, October 6.
 
According to the Pomona Police Department Lt. Todd Samuels, the crash happened at around 8:45 p.m. in the 1700 block of West Mission Boulevard.
 
Medics pronounced Vega dead at the scene.
 
The driver stayed at the scene of the incident and was not cited, Samuels stated. There were no immediate reports about the circumstances of the crash.
 
The Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner-Coroner released her identity. They did not provide her city of residence.
 
Officials temporarily closed West Mission Boulevard between Oak Avenue and Curran Place.
