Montebello Woman Dies after Struck by Hit-and-Run Sedan in South LA
SOUTH LOS ANGELES, CA (July 23, 2023) – Anna Solis was killed in a hit-and-run crash in South Los Angeles Friday evening on July 21.
The fatal crash happened around 10:20 p.m. at South Hill Street and West 33rd Street, less than half a mile east of the University of Southern California. According to the Los Angeles Police Department, Solis was crossing the intersection when a silver sedan struck her.
After striking the victim, the driver of the sedan did not stop and continued north toward downtown Los Angeles.
Solis suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene. She was 20 years old from Montebello, according to the medical examiner’s office.
At this time, police are still searching for the hit-and-run suspect. It is unknown if drugs or alcohol was a factor in the crash.
