Andre Tucker Arrested, Mima Rodriguez Injured in Fatal DUI Multi-Car Accident on Highway 99 [Vina, CA]

Andre Tucker Booked, Mima Rodriguez Hospitalized in Deadly Multi-Car DUI Crash on Highway 99 near Tehama Vina Road

 
VINA, CA (October 16, 2024) — Andre Tucker faces DUI charges following Tuesday’ fatal multi-car accident on Highway 99 near Tehama Vina Road.
 
The California Highway Patrol responded to the crash report around 1:48 p.m. Upon responding, authorities learned that 43-year-old Andre Tucker, from Chico, entered the northbound lane from the southbound side at a high rate of speed. Subsequently, his southbound 1997 Ford Expedition crashed into a northbound 2015 Honda Accord driven by 56-year-old Mima Rodriguez, of Gerber.
 
From there, Tucker’s Ford Expedition traveled out of control and collided head-on with a northbound 2012 Toyota Prius. The 22-year-old female from Chico operating the Toyota Prius passed away at the scene. Officials have not released her name.
 
After the crash, authorities arrested Tucker for DUI and took him to Enloe Medical Center for treatment. Rodriguez reported minor injuries and sought care at Enloe Medical Center, as well.
 
At this time, authorities are looking into the details of this crash.
