Two-Vehicle Crash in Moreno Valley Kills One Passenger and One Pedestrian
MORENO VALLEY, CA (January 26, 2025) – Ancelmo Sanchez and Luis Lopez died in a two-vehicle accident in Moreno Valley Friday morning on January 24.
The fatal accident happened just after 11:00 a.m. at Heacock Street and Ironwood Avenue. According to the Riverside County Fire Department, an Infinity and a Mercedes collided at the intersection.
The impact of the crash pushed the Mercedes into two pedestrians who were standing on the sidewalk.
One of the pedestrians was rushed to a hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries. The second pedestrian was unharmed.
A passenger in the Mercedes suffered significant injuries and died at the scene.
Both drivers and a passenger in the Infinity suffered serious injuries.
The deceased passenger was identified as 39-year-old Ancelmo Sanchez and the pedestrian as 31-year-old Luis Lopez. Both were Moreno Valley residents.
