Alejandra Vasquez Charged in Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Crash on Hearn Avenue near Corby Avenue

 
SANTA ROSA, CA (August 5, 2024) — Alejandra Vasquez faces hit-and-run charges following a pedestrian accident on Hearn Avenue near Corby Avenue.
 
The hit-and-run pedestrian accident happened around 9:42 p.m. Thursday. Under unclear circumstances, 19-year-old Vasquez struck a 33-year-old man crossing Hearn Avenue. Inferring from security footage from the 800 block of Hern Avenue, Santa Rosa Police said Vasquez stopped her white 2014 Lexus IS 250 for roughly 90 seconds before proceeding westbound.
 
The man suffered critical injuries in the accident and remains unidentified pending family notification.
 
After the crash, police responded to the scene and found no sign of the driver involved. However, authorities traced Vasquez’s vehicle to the 1900 block of Blue Sky Lane and arrested her on felony hit-and-run causing severe injury.
