Two Elderly Pedestrians Suffers Serious Injuries after Hit by Vehicle on J Street in Chula Vista
CHULA VISTA, CA (December 5, 2024) – An 82-year-old man and a 77-year-old woman were seriously injured in a pedestrian accident on J Street in Chula Vista Tuesday morning on December 3.
According to the Chula Vista Police Department, the two elderly pedestrians were struck by a vehicle in the 600 block of J Street shortly before 9:30 a.m.
Police said they were not in a crosswalk while crossing the roadway.
Responding firefighters provided life-saving efforts to the pair before transporting them to a local hospital with serious injuries. Both are in stable condition at this time.
Meanwhile, the driver of the involved vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities.
Drugs and alcohol do not appear to be a factor in the crash. Further investigation is underway.
