77-Year-Old Jose Trevizo Dies, 2 Teens Injured in 2-Car Accident on 4th Street [Boyle Heights, CA]

Jose Francisco Trevizo Killed in 2-Vehicle Crash on 4th Street near Fresno Street

 
BOYLE HEIGHTS, CA (November 18, 2024) — Jose Trevizo died in a two-car accident on 4th Street near Fresno Street Thursday night.
 
The Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded to a call around 9:00 p.m. Upon dispatch to the 3000 block of East 4th Street, paramedics found a 77-year-old male Honda driver with fatal injuries. Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner later identified the victim as Jose Francisco Trevizo.
 
A Mercedes-Benz also involved in the crash contained a 17-year-old driver and his 18-year-old passenger, both suffering from major injuries. Emergency Personnel transported the patients to a hospital for care.
 
Los Angeles Police began investigating the accident and learned that the Mercedes was traveling at high speeds before hitting the Honda, which was turning.
 
Authorities have ruled out impairment as a possible factor in this accident. However, they are combing through the details to identify the ultimate cause.
