73-Year-Old Perry Kurtz Killed, Nathon Jaimes Detained in Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Crash on Ventura Boulevard near Corbin Avenue

 
TARZANA, CA (August 19, 2024) — Perry Kurtz died in a hit-and-run pedestrian accident on Ventura Boulevard near Corbin Avenue.
 
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the deadly hit-and-run happened around 11:20 p.m. Thursday. For an unknown reason, 18-year-old Nathon Jaimes struck 73-year-old Perry Jan Kurtz on Ventura Boulevard outside a marked crosswalk. Subsequently, Jaimes failed to pull over and continued eastbound in his Honda, leaving Kurtz with grave injuries.
 
Minutes later, LAPD officers responded to 19563 Ventura Blvd. and found Kurtz, of Reseda, who later passed away at the scene.
 
Following an investigation, detectives located Jaimes at his home and booked him on suspicion a felony hit-and-run causing death. Anyone with more information to add to this case can call the Valley Traffic Division at 818-644-8020.
