Pedestrian Hit, Killed in Crash on Midway Drive in San Diego
SAN DIEGO, CA (January 4, 2024) — A 65-year-old man died in a pedestrian accident on Midway Drive at Sports Arena Boulevard on Tuesday evening.
According to the San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office, the man passed away around 7:00 p.m. For an unknown reason, the male pedestrian was reportedly in a south crosswalk on Sports Arena Boulevard, crossing Midway Drive. Subsequently, a 62-year-old woman in a northbound 2013 Chevy truck struck the man in the left northbound lane during a green traffic light.
Following the crash, the female driver pulled over and waited for authorities who later determined that alcohol did not play a part in the cause.
