Child Injured, 4 Killed in Solo-Car Crash on 10 Freeway in Colton

 
COLTON, CA (December 18, 2024) — A single-car accident on the 10 Freeway near Riverside Avenue left 4 people dead and a child with major injuries..
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the deadly solo-car accident happened around 4:45 p.m. Sunday. For an unknown reason, the driver of the eastbound 2018 Toyota Corolla left the road and entered the right shoulder. Subsequently, the vehicle plowed into a tree stump.
 
Moments later, paramedics arrived and took the 4-year-old child to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center with major injuries. Tragically, two 60-year-olds — one male, one female —and two 30-year-olds — also a male and female — passed away in the accident.
 
Officials have not released their identities.
