4 Hurt After 3 Cars Collide on Highway 246 in Lompoc
LOMPOC, CA (December 30, 2024) — Four people were injured in a 3-car accident on Highway 246 near Mission Gate Road.
According to the Santa Barbara County Fire Department, the three-vehicle accident happened around 6:00 p.m. Friday. For unknown reasons, three vehicles collided around 6:00 p.m., drawing Santa Barbara County Fire Department Personnel to the scene. Upon dispatch, paramedics and authorities found three vehicles involved, including a trapped occupant needing extrication.
Upon freeing the victim, paramedics brought two people with moderate injuries to Marian Regional Medical Center in Santa Maria. Paramedics ushered the third patient to Lompoc Valley Medical Center while the fourth patient refused hospital care.
Due to the crash, California Highway Patrol closed part of Highway 246 to investigate.
