Three-Vehicle Collision on 15 Freeway in Cajon Pass

 
CAJON PASS, CA (January 27, 2023) — A multi-vehicle crash on 15 Freeway in Cajon Pass left three people injured Saturday morning.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident took place at about 10:54 a.m. on January 21 in the northbound lanes near the Cleghorn Road exit.
 
There were three vehicles involved in the crash. This includes a black two-door sedan, a silver four-door sedan, and a dark gray Mazda sedan. The black and silver cars sustained major damage on their back end, while the Mazda had major damage on its front end.
 
While it was not immediately clear how the crash happened, reports confirmed three people suffered minor injuries. There were two ambulances summoned to the scene. However, there was no available information on whether the injured individuals required hospitalization.
 
Meanwhile, the damaged vehicles ended up blocking the number 1 lane and the center divider. This caused traffic to back up all the way to the Highway 215 split. It eased up about half an hour later.
 
This crash is under investigation by the CHP Inland Division.
 
When behind the wheel, avoid distractions and do not multitask. Keep an eye out for possible hazards and dangerous drivers. Furthermore, never operate a vehicle when sleepy, fatigued, and inebriated.
