3 Hurt, Car Crashes Into Pole, Strikes Pedestrian on Victory Boulevard in North Hollywood
NORTH HOLLYWOOD, CA (August 20, 2024) — Three people sustained injuries after a car crashed into a pole and hit a pedestrian on Victory Boulevard near Vineland Avenue.
According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, the car crash happened around 1:15 p.m. Monday. For an unknown reason, a driver lost control in the 11000 block of Victory Boulevard. Subsequently, the car struck a 22-year-old pedestrian before hitting a traffic signal pole that toppled onto the vehicle.
Moments later, Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics arrived to find a 26-year-old man and a 25-year-old man trapped in the vehicle. Paramedics attended to a 65-year-old woman in a second car that reported minor injuries, the injured pedestrian and the two sedan occupants who were taken to a regional trauma center.
Authorities did not say what led to the accident. However, they are looking further into this crash.
