3 Hurt After Car and Semi-Truck Collide at Stowell Road in Santa Maria

 
SANTA MARIA, CA (April 26, 2024) — Three people suffered major injuries after a car and a big rig crashed at Stowell Road and Nicholson Avenue.
 
According to the Santa Maria Police, the two-vehicle accident happened around 7:00 p.m. Tuesday. For an unknown reason, a compact car shuttling three people pulled in front of a large semi-truck. Subsequently, the vehicles collided at the intersection.
 
Moments later, paramedics arrived at the scene and took two people in the compact car to Marian Regional Medical Center with major injuries. A third occupant in the same vehicle suffered minor injuries, as well.
 
Reports did not provide information on the victim or the ultimate cause of the accident. However, the case remains under investigation by Santa Maria Police.
