2 People Hurt After Driver Crashes Into House on Jamacha Road in El Cajon

 
EL CAJON, CA (November 13, 2024) — Two residents were injured after a speeding car crashed into a home on Jamacha Road near Granite Hills Road.
 
According to reports, the single-car crash happened around 2:15 a.m. Tuesday. While speeding, a 26-year-old El Cajon man lost control of his vehicle. Subsequently, the sedan crashed in the 900 block of Jamacha Road, smashing into the home’s bedroom.
 
A couple sleeping at the time suffered injuries ranging from minor to major. Soon after, paramedics transported the pair to a hospital for care.
 
Following the incident, police conducted a field sobriety test on the driver who passed. However, they believe speed likely caused the accident that left the car about 80% wedged inside a building.
 
Officials deemed the home unsafe to inhabit.
