Three-Vehicle Crash on 15 Freeway in Baker Kills Two and Critically Injures Three Others

 
BAKER, CA (January 21, 2024) – Two people died in a three-vehicle accident on 15 Freeway in Baker early Friday morning on January 19.
 
The fatal accident happened around 4:09 a.m. just north of Highway 127, near mile marker 142. According to the California Highway Patrol, a white Budget rental truck and two other vehicles collided for unknown reasons. The impact caused one of the vehicles to catch fire.
 
First responders found a total of six injured people, two of them were pronounced deceased at the scene.
 
Rescue crews requested three medical helicopters to land at the scene to transport the other three patients who were critically injured.
 
No identifying information available at this time. The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
