Woman Hospitalized after Bicycle and Vehicle Accident on West Wabash Avenue near Optimum in Eureka

EUREKA, CA (March 3, 2025) – Two people sustained injuries in a bicycle accident on West Wabash Avenue, Thursday evening.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened on February 27, at about 5:30 p.m. For reasons still under investigation, a vehicle and a bicycle collided at 911 West Wabash Avenue just outside of the Optimum store.

As per reports, there were two people riding the bicycle.

Emergency crews transported a woman to a local hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries.

Meanwhile, the driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.

CHP continues to investigate the cause of the accident. Officers will release additional information once it becomes available.
