2 Hospitalized in 3-Vehicle Crash at Barstow Avenue in Fresno

FRESNO, CA (June 21, 2024) — Two people were injured in a 3-car accident at Barstow Avenue and 4th Street.

According to Fresno Police officers, the multi-car crash happened around 12:45 p.m. Sunday. For an unknown reason, a driver failed to yield to oncoming traffic on 4th Street. Subsequently, the driver pulled into Barstow Avenue and collided with two eastbound drivers.

Shortly after, Fresno Police responded, and paramedics took two people to a hospital, including one person with major injuries. Authorities learned that neither alcohol nor drugs factored into the crash. However, they determined that there was a stop sign for northbound traffic where the driver failed to yield.

To prevent a crash, look both ways before turning. Make sure you make a full stop at stop signs and use your turn signals. This helps your communication with other drivers. Minimizing distractions also helps.
