2 People Hospitalized, Tree Topples Onto Cars on Auburn Folsom Road in Granite Bay
GRANITE BAY, CA (March 20, 2023) — Two drivers were injured after a tree fell on top of two cars on Auburn Folsom Road near Douglas Boulevard.
According to the California Highway Patrol Auburn division, the incident happened around 3:26 p.m. Sunday. Around this time, an oak tree toppled onto two cars and injured two drivers. One driver was able to get out of the vehicle but the other one required extrication.
Soon after, emergency responders arrived at the scene and brought the victims to a hospital for care.
The likely cause of the tree falling most likely dealt with it being soaked with rain from the recent storms.
