2 Hurt in 2-Vehicle Crash near Samantha Drive in Santa Ynez
SANTA YNEZ, CA (August 2, 2024) — Two drivers were injured in a 2-car accident near Samantha Drive and Refugio Road.
According to the Santa Barbara County Fire Department, the two-car crash happened earlier this morning. A four-door sedan and a gray SUV collided under unclear circumstances. Subsequently, American Medical Response and California Highway Patrol responded to the scene in Santa Ynez to find two drivers with moderate injuries.
Paramedics took both to Santa Ynez Cottage Hospital for higher care.
Due to the crash, CHP officers closed the road to investigate. At this time, authorities do not have an explanation for the crash. However, we will update this report once we receive more information.
