2 People Killed in Multi-Vehicle Crash on Highway 58 in Tehachapi
TEHACHAPI, CA (November 18, 2024) — Two people died in a multi-car accident on Highway 58 near Tehachapi Willow Road.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the deadly multi-vehicle crash happened on November 15 around 8:02 a.m. For unknown reasons, three vehicles collided on the westbound highway near Sand Canyon. Subsequently, Kern County Fire officials responded to the scene to find two people trapped in a vehicle. Those two victims passed away at the scene. Officials have not released their identities.
Of the vehicles involved, a green truck came to a rest on its side.
Authorities said two other patients suffered minor and moderate injuries. By 2:25 p.m., Caltrans District 9 reported that all lanes reopened.
