2 Killed After Metrolink Train Hits Vehicle on Rose Hills Road in City of Industry

 
CITY OF INDUSTRY, CA (January 17, 2025) — Two people died after a Metrolink train crashed into a car on Rose Hills Road near Capitol Avenue.
 
The Los Angeles County Fire Department said the fatal accident happened around 8:00 a.m. Thursday. For an unknown reason, a Metrolink train crashed into a white Toyota Camry. The two occupants in the vehicle died in the crash.
 
Officials have not released their identities.
 
Two others reported moderate injuries in the accident and were taken to a hospital. Among the 200 people on board the Metrolink train, three complained of pain.
 
After the crash, traffic investigators canvassed the area for clues leading to the cause. However, they did not release an explanation.
