2 Killed in Santa Maria 2-Car Crash on Stowell Road in Santa Maria

 
SANTA MARIA, CA (August 2, 2024) — Two people died in a 2-car accident on Stowell Road near Bradley Road.
 
According to Santa Maria Police, the fatal two-car crash happened around 9:15 a.m. Thursday. For an unknown reason, a woman driving an eastbound vehicle on Stowell Road ran a red light and collided with a southbound SUV on Bradley Road.
 
Subsequently, paramedics responded but the man and woman in the SUV passed away in the crash. Authorities have not released their names.
 
The woman driving the eastbound vehicle received care at Marian Regional Medical Center for her injuries.
 
Police did not confirm the ultimate cause of the accident. However, they are investigating the possibilities.
