15-Year-Old, Driver Injured in Car, Quad Accident on Joshua Street near Aster Road [Adelanto, CA]

Juvenile, Driver Hospitalized in Car, Quad Crash on Joshua Street in Adelanto

 
ADELANTO, CA (March 3, 2023) — A 15-year-old and a driver were injured in a car and quad accident on Joshua Tree near Aster Road.
 
According to reports, the two-vehicle collision happened near Adelanto High School around 12:58 p.m. Tuesday. For some reason, a 15-year-old male riding a quad at an unknown speed did not stop at the stop sign on Joshua Street. Subsequently, the westbound quad collided with a white Toyota Camry traveling northbound at 30 miles per hour.
 
As a result of the impact, the helmeted juvenile was ejected from the quad and landed on the dirt shoulder of the road.
 
Responding paramedics airlifted the 15-year-old to a trauma center with major injuries. Meanwhile, paramedics brought the driver of the Camry to a local hospital in an unknown condition.
