ATV Crashes on Hillside Terrace in Nevada County Killing Teen Passenger

 
NEVADA COUNTY, CA (May 14, 2024) – A 15-year-old boy died after an ATV accident on Hillside Terrace in Nevada County Saturday evening on May 11.

The fatal accident happened around 7:30 p.m. on a private property near Dog Bar Road. According to the California Highway Patrol, the victim was a passenger on the ATV when it crashed for unknown reasons.

A helicopter took him to Sutter Roseville Medical Center with major head trauma. Sadly, he did not survive and was declared dead. His identity was not immediately available.

A 14-year-old boy who drove the ATV was also taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Officials said drugs or alcohol did not appear to be a factor in the crash. An investigation is underway.
