Three-Vehicle Accident on East Century Boulevard in South LA Kills 1 and Injures 9
SOUTH LOS ANGELES, CA (July 8, 2024) – A 12-year-old girl was killed in a three-vehicle accident on East Century Boulevard in South Los Angeles Friday night on July 5.
The fatal accident happened around 6:15 p.m. near Avalon Boulevard. According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, three vehicles collided for unknown reasons.
The impact caused fatal injuries on the 12-year-old girl, who died at the scene. Athorities withheld the identity of the child pending family notification.
Nine other people, six adults and three juveniles, sustained injuries from the crash.
Firefighters rescued one of the drivers from her car. Paramedics then took her to a nearby hospital in serious condition.
Meanwhile, the five other adults were in fair condition. The three juveniles suffered moderate injuries.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
