Cyclist Hurt in Hit-and-Run Crash on Industrial Avenue in Placer County
PLACER COUNTY, CA (August 5, 2024) — One person was seriously injured in a hit-and-run bicycle accident on Industrial Avenue near Highway 65.
According to the Auburn California Highway Patrol unit, the hit-and-run happened around 4:15 a.m. Sunday. For an unknown reason, a driver left the road and drifted toward the shoulder. Subsequently, the car struck one cyclist.
Instead of stopping and helping, the motorist fled the scene. Minutes later, paramedics transported the severely injured cyclist to a hospital. Authorities did not release her name or the type of injury she sustained.
