1 Person Dies in Pedestrian Crash on Harbor Boulevard in Santa Ana

 
SANTA ANA, CA (May 8, 2023) — One person died in a pedestrian accident on Harbor Boulevard near 5th Street.
 
According to Santa Ana police officers, the deadly pedestrian accident happened around 1:05 a.m. Sunday. Upon responding, officers found a pedestrian on the road. Soon after, Orange County Fire authorities arrived and declared the victim deceased.
 
Following an investigation, officers learned that the person was crossing Harbor Boulevard when a driver, under unclear circumstances, struck the individual. The driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with police investigators.
 
Officials do not suspect alcohol to have played a role in the accident, but an ongoing investigation should verify any unclear details.
