Bicyclist Fatally Struck by Car on El Dorado Street in Stockton

 
STOCKTON, CA (February 6, 2024) — One person died in a bicycle accident on El Dorado Street near Arch Airport Road.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the deadly bicycle accident happened around 5:00 a.m. Monday. During dark and rainy weather conditions, a 32-year-old woman tried swerving to avoid hitting a bicyclist. However, her efforts fell short, and her vehicle struck the cyclist along El Dorado Street.
 
Shortly thereafter, paramedics responded only to find the bicyclist with fatal injuries. Officials have yet to release the individual’s name. Following the accident, the woman stayed at the scene and cooperated with police investigations that have yet to prove what caused the crash.
